2019 IAU Trail World Championship – update note and pre-race report. We hereby inform you of the changes that have occurred to the Trail World Championships due to climatic events: Technical Meeting - will be on June 7 (Friday) at 8:30 am. Opening Ceremony - will be on June 7 (Friday) at 11 am. Press Conference - will be on June 6 (Thursday) at 6 pm.

5th IAU Trail World Championships - as events unfold.
IAU trail champs: It was still pitch black as the 268 championship athletes gathered on the banks of Lake Annecy in the funnel leading to the start. The first part of the route was lit suddenly by flares just before the gun went at 03.30 in the morning and the array of headlamps were soon moving off fast into the dark along the paths around the Lake before taking off for the first summit of the day.
