Jason Loutitt passed away
Canadian Ultrarunner Jason Loutitt passed away on June 7, 2021, at the age of 47.
Jason was a member of numerous Canadian National Teams over the year and was the silver medalist at the 2011 IAU World Trail Championships in Ireland. He was an incredibly talented athlete but even more was an incredible human.
Losing Jason Loutitt is a huge shock for the Canadian and the Global Ultrarunning community. He was considerate, generous, outstanding athlete and very doting father to his son. I had personally known Jason through my affiliation with the ACU and considered him to be a close friend. I was always mesmerized by his passion for the sport. I extend our deepest condolences to Jason and his family. Rest in Peace my friend!
