IAU 24H European Championship - participants. We are getting closer to the IAU 24H European Championships. From May 26th till May 27th, 29 National Teams from Europe will gather together in Timisoara in Romania to take part of this event. We are happy to share with you the participant list for this event.

Ian Cornelius passed away It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ian Cornelius from Australia. On behalf of the IAU we would like to express our sincere condolences to Ian’s family, friends and all those who knew him. Ian was known to many in the Australian and International ultra running community. He had an incredible passion for the sport and was devoted to encouraging others to participate.

IAU 100 km European Championship - no bids for 2019. With respect of IAU 100 km European Championship we were trying to get interest from our European Federations to work with us on the Championships for this year.
IAU 100 km Americas Championship - race report
IAU 100 km Americas Championship - race report. Felipe Coast da Silva and Helen Cristina Caldera Deluque both from Brazil won the Championship. Brazil won Men Team and Argentina. Women Team competition. It is new chapter in ultrarunning history for South America. For the first time we had opportunity to have IAU Championship here and it was great success. Brazil and CBAT host Athletes from the region and it was big milestone with sport development for South America.
2016 24H Asia & Oceania Championships
IAU 24H Asia and Oceania Championships, Kaohsiung, Chinese Taipei, 19/20th November 2016. We have just sent out the invitations our Asia and Oceania federations for the IAU 24H Asian Oceania Championships which will take place in Kaohsiung, Chinese Taipei on 19th and 20th November 2016.

The Winner of the 2017 IAU Athlete of the Year
The Winner of the 2017 IAU Athlete of the Year. The Winners of the 2017 IAU Athlete of the Year have been announced. Patrycja Bereznowska (POL) and Yoshihiko Ishikawa (JPN) have been voted as the 2017 IAU Athlete of the Year. Both Winners received around 45% of all votes. Patrycja won convincingly. It was a bit closer in men votes but still very strong position of Yoshihiko. The runners up in women standing are Camille Herron (USA) and Adeline Roche (FRA) and in men Luis Alberto Hernando (ESP) and Sebastian Białobrzeski (POL).
Vrajic in Rio
Vrajic running in the Olympics Marathon. Current IAU World Championships 50km silver medalist and 100km bronze medalist Marija Vrajic (CRO) will be toeing the line at the Rio Olympics marathon on Sunday.

It is with great sadness that we learnt of the death of Sergey Yanenko on January 13th 2018 in Chernovtsy (Ukraine).
