IAU Athletes Commission. The IAU is delighted to announce that they have formed an Athletes Commission to meet the needs of its members.This Commission is a forward thinking and advisory body that acts as an advocate for all athletes’ of the National Federations that are affiliated to the IAU. It deals, among other things, with all issues raised by athletes and liaises as and when deemed necessary with the IAU Council.

2018 IAU Career Awards The IAU Career award has been established since 2014 to recognize for tireless ultrarunning enthusiasts who have worked long and hard to increase the profile of national and international ultrarunning. This prestigious honour recognizes the hard work and dedication in developing and promoting the sport over the years. We are committed to honouring the individuals who have paved the way of the sport for the future. It is our great pleasure to announce that we awarded two individuals with the IAU Career Award. The Award went to Donald Alexander Ritchie [GBR] (passed away in June 2018) and Jürgen Schoch [GER]. The awards will be presented at the earliest convenience.

2018 IAU 24H European Championship - measurement of the course. It is our great pleasure to share with you the official measurement of the course for the 2018 IAU 24 Hour European Championships. The race will take place on May 26-27, 2018 in Timisoara, Romania, in “Ion Creanga” Children’s Park (address: 20, Bulevardul Revolutiei din 1989).
