Hungarian Ultrarunning 6H Championship. The Hungarian 6H Championship was held in Szekszárd on 10th March 2019. This IAU Bronze Labelled Race also included an open race (6H) and 50 km as well. In the Womens Race Bleier-Cseke Lilla was a convincing winner with a distance of 77.059 km and the Men’s Race was won by Halama Levente with a distance of 81.145 km. The open race provided good competition with a fantastic performance by Gábor Muhari covering a distance of 86.485 km and the leading female in the open race Krisztina Ruscsák achieved a distance of 78.909 km. The 50 km race was won by Zsófia Malatinszky Zsófia with time 3:34:13
2019 IAU Trail World Championship � race report
2019 IAU Trail World Championship – race repor. On June 8th 2019 the IAU Trail World Championship took place in Mirandha do Corvo, Portugal. Athletes from 53 nations compete on beautiful but difficult 44.2 km trail course (2 120 m of elevation gain and 1 970 of elevation loss). Technical terrain as well as steep climbs and challenging descents, all this was waiting for runners.
Paraguay as new member
Paraguay become IAU Member. It is our great pleasure to welcome Paraguay as new IAU Member. All required documentation were finalised and signed last week. We will be more than happy to welcome Athletes from Paraguay to our future Championships.

2019 IAU 24 Hour World Championship – PEF completed. We are getting closer to 2019 IAU 24H World Championships that will take place on 26th-27th October in Albi, France. The Preliminary Entry Forms were provided by Member Federations to the LOC, this means we can now share some interesting facts.

2019 IAU 50 Km World Championship – provisional results. Brasov has witnessed a string of extraordinary performances at IAU 50KM World Championships! It was the first time when the 50 km World Championship was held in Europe. Alyson Dixon from United Kingdom and Iraitz Arrospide from Spain are new World Champions. Alyson won with an amazing time of 3:07:20, and Iraitz Arrospide won with 02:47:42!

2019 IAU 24 H World Championship – provisional results. The 2019 IAU 24H World Championships took place on 26th – 27th October in Albi, France. It was the biggest championship so far with recorded 45 Member Federation participated in the event. Camille Herron from USA (270,116 km – World Best Performance) and Aleksandr Sorokin from Lithuania (278,973– Lithuanian Best Performance) won the Championship. USA took gold for both Women and Men Team Championships.

Following discussion that took place during the 2018 IAU Congress on September 7th in Croatia it was confirmed that significant work to secure the 2019 IAU 24H World Championship was done. There are still several aspects to be confirmed so we are not in position to communicate time and place for the potential event host.
