Virtual IAU Executive Council Meeting – January 2021
On January 10th our first Virtual IAU Executive Council Meeting for 2021 took place. The meeting was a attended by members of the IAU Council from multiple time zones. There were several points discussed over the two hour meeting that ended up as very productive meeting. The call was opened by Nadeem and followed by updates from each of the IAU Council Members.
The main topics discussed during the meeting:
- Championships 2021 and future Championships
- World Mountain and Trail Running Championships 2021
- Congress 2021 and Committees updates
- Labelling transition and 2020/2021 summary
There were many other subjects discussed including future development and updates on the current situation. These mentioned above are our key highlights and you will have seen articles in the last few days on most of these. Further updates will follow.
