"My first involvement in IAU events was participation in the preliminary IAU 24H World Championships in 2001 held in Verona, Italy as an athlete. Having learned from the race, I started the national team management career at 2002 IAU 24H Asian Championships which was the conjunction race with the 3rd Soochow 24H event. A year later, Japan team immediately won the individual and team medals for men and women at the inaugural official IAU 24H World Championships in 2003 at Uden, the Netherlands. The most remarkable honor for Team Japan might be the winning Men's 24H team title in 6 Championships in a raw (2005-2010). I was also deeply involved in producing several women's 24H & 48H IAU World Records runs by Sumie Inagaki and Mami Kudo 2006-2013 as their handler, manager and coach at the same time."
