There are 13 countries affiliated with IAU in this region, and it is expected to be the starting point for a new stage in the development of ultra-distance in the region. South America has never held an international ultra-distance championship so there is great excitement in the area. The event is organized by BR135 (LOC), with the support of the Brazilian Athletics Federation
The competition will be on the coast of Bertioga in Sao Paulo on a circuit of 5 km. There are lots of opportunities to have a lot of supporters along the course.
