WMTRC Short and Long Trail results

Saturday, November 5th was very busy day at 1st World Mountain and Trail Running Championships. We had two championships races, short 40 km trail and long 80 km trail.

The winners of the short trail race are Denisa Ionela DRAGOMIR from Romania and Stian Hovind ANGERMUND from Norway. Denisa completed the race in 3:49:23 and Stain in 3:08:29.

Barbora MACUROVÁ from Czech Republic (3:51:22) and Francesco PUPPI from Italy (3:11:47) were second with silver medals. Finally Emilia BRANGEFÄLT from Sweden (3:54:52) and Jonathan ALBON from Great Britain and Northern Ireland (3:13:05) were third with bronze medals.

In the team competition Spain (women) and Italy (men) won the gold medals.

The winners of the long trace race are Blandine L'HIRONDEL from France (8:22:14) and Adam PETERMAN from USA (7:15:53), both won the race convincingly.

Ida NILSSON from Sweden (8:34:59) and Nicolas MARTIN from France (7:28:44) were second with silver medals. Finally Gemma ARENAS ALCAZAR from Spain (8:46:27) and Andreas REITERER from Italy (7:36:50) were third with bronze medals.
