Optimum training and nutrition approach to ultra marathoning
PRESENTER: Zach Bitter, USA
Graduate of University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point in Education. Current athlete and individual coach.
ATHLETIC BACKGROUND: Previous World Record Holder 100 miles 11:19 hand 12 hours 104.8 miles (2019).

“Super shoes: mechanisms, performance, and regulations”
PRESENTER: Dr. Geoff Burns, PHD, USA.
Has degrees in Biomedical Engineering, Kinesiology and Sports Science. Does post doctoral research at the University of Michigan. His research focuses on running, physiology, biomechanics and sport performance. He’s published on a variety of topics in running.
ATHLETIC BACKGROUND: 2016 US national champion over the 100km, where he ran 6:30. He’s represented the USA over 50km and 100km distances, and he finished 5th at both the 2016 and 2018 IAU 100km world championships

Senior Fellow, Livonics Institute of Integrated Learning and Research
MBBS, MSc Sports-Exercise Medicine (UK), Musculo-Skeletal Medicine (UK)
Mentor, Race Director, Medical Race Director, Book Author and weekly columnist. Is a
passionate runner himself.

Strength exercises and stretching- what is recommended for the Ultradistances
PRESENTER: Dr. Abir El Khatib, Lebanon
Has a doctoral degree in Physiotherapy, Masters degree in Neurological Rehabilitation.
Owner and practitioner of her own physiotherapy clinic, where she treats patients mainly
related to musculo-skeletel problems and athletes' injuries, especially runners, marathoners
and ultra-marathoners. Is a passionate runner herself.
Teaching Joint Assessment, Exercise Physiology, Active Mobilisation, Geriatric Rehabilitation,
Functional Aids and Specific Techniques at Lebanese University and Introduction to
Biomechanics at Antonine University.
