Sweden, team results from 2021 IAU 6H Virtual Global Solidarity Weekend
Sweden participated in IAU 6H Virtual Global Solidarity Event. Total 2 men and 4 women ran this event. They ran across various terrains, both indoors and outdoors around different parts of the country. Fritjof Fagerlund ran impressive 85,01 km on the Åland Islands. He parked his car in the middle of the island and ran back and forth from it. The weather was cold and rainy but it did not stop Fritjof Fagerlund from doing an amazing race. Lina Karlsson ran on a track and managed to set a personal best with over three kilometers. She ran 76,5 km and is very pleased with the result even if she was aiming even higher. Lisa Ring and Dan Välitalo both chose to run indoors on treadmills. Lisa Ring ended up covering 74.48 km whereas Dan Välitalo ran 74. km. Frida Södermark who is presently pregnant ran an impressive 70.13 km with her with her “stowaway”. The baby slept during the run but was super excited and active afterwards. Frida Södermark is very happy that she could participate and hopes that she inspires other to run through pregnancy if the body allows it. Sofia Smedman ran in a snowy part of Sweden, which of course was extra challenging. She ran 50,34 km in 4,5 hours before she decided it was enough.
