We are happy to announce that the Saudi Arabian Athletics Federation has officially joined the IAU as a member. This significant milestone marks an exciting chapter for both Saudi Arabia and the IAU.
As highlighted by IAU President Nadeem Khan,
"It is very exciting to welcome the Saudi Arabian Athletics Federation to the IAU family. Globally, it is outstanding to see Saudi Arabia join the IAU given that they will be organizing the FIFA World Cup in 2034. Strategically, the country will be great partners in developing and promoting the sport in the Gulf and the Middle East. Personally, I grew up in Saudi Arabia and it is amazing to see the Kingdom join our association. We are looking forward to growing the sport of ultrarunning across the region."
