President Club Team at 2021 IAU 6H Virtual Global Solidarity Weekend
This is a second year that we have the Presidents Club Team at the IAU 6H Virtual Global Solidarity Weekend.
It is a great motivation to see so many runners joining the event and we witnessed many great results but the most important was the solidarity and the Presidents Club team is another example of this. We are sharing few words from those who took part in the event.
Just completed my IAU Global Solidarity run. It's a huge weekend for the global ultrarunning community with over 350 athletes from 35 federations partaking virtually. Thank you for uplifting the morale and being a member of the IAU Family. Thank you to all the athletes, federations, fellow IAU Council colleagues and every member of the President's Club Team for coming together in solidarity across the globe. Good luck to those who still have to run. Stay Healthy, Stay Safe, Stay Motivated! Completed 31.37 km
Nadeem Khan (IAU)
6 hr Solidarity organized by IAU. This time in the team of presidents of National Ultradistance Associations. It all hurts. Feelings weren't good, although the result wasn't bad. The body will pass it, I know but the long backgrounds came back after many months. Completed 72.74 km
Manuel Mendez (Argentina)
I’m just happy to share this run virtually with people all over the World Running is our passion, so I wish we can see all of us in Thailand in November so take care and keep going. Completed 17.9 km
Laurie Phai (Cambodia)
Not exactly the day I hoped for, but still a very pleasant way to spend six hours. Take care, guys. Completed 51.13 km
Lee Smith (Canada)
Nearly two hundred runners took part in today’s event. We all echo Nadeem’s quote: stay safe! Stay healthy! Stay motivated!

Had a super nice run with my club mates from West Coast Ultra Runners and the running community here in my hometown Kokkola, Finland. Here we are still in a full winter, but the weather was nice on Saturday. Couple of degrees minus Celsius but we had some short glimpses of the sun in between. I had the honor as the chairman of the Finnish Ultra running Federation to represent Finland in the IAU President team. Reached a 64,2km in 6 hours. I want to send all the best to all ultra runners around the globe. A big thank you to IAU for getting this together. Hope to see you all soon. Completed 64.24 km
Fredrik Olaussen (Finland)

The members of Team Philippines would like to thank the IAU for giving us the opportunity to represent the country in this challenging time in the midst of pandemic. Our passion in Running will always be our way to understand and unify each other. Our Ultrarunning Community will live forever! Cheers to all of us!
Jovenal Narcise (Philippines)
It was a blessing to run during these difficult times, when our worries are augmented by the lack of predictibility in our lives. Running keeps my mind clear and my thoughts positive, so thank you for giving me a reason to go out and run!
Diana Amza (Romania)
Thanks to your guide, I ran IAU 6hr Solidarity Ultramarathon today. It rained and record is far below my expectation but was happy. Thanks Nadeem. Completed 33.7 km
