Patrycja Bereznowska POL

Patrycja Bereznowska, hailing from Poland, has solidified her position as one of the world's premier ultra-runners for several years. Her remarkable journey commenced in 2015 when she clinched the silver medal at the IAU 24H European Championships in Torino, Italy. Building on this success, she secured second place in 2016 at the IAU 24H EC in Albi, France. In a crowning achievement, Bereznowska seized the gold medal at the IAU 24H World Championships in Belfast, Northern Ireland in 2017, setting a new world record during the event, covering an astonishing 259.991 km.

Her dominance continued in 2018, as she triumphed at the IAU 24H European Championships in Timisoara, Romania. The following year, she claimed the third position at the IAU 24H World Championships in Albi, France. In a spectacular display of consistency and prowess, Bereznowska secured her second consecutive victory at the IAU 24H European Championships in 2022. Notably, in the same year, she shattered the 48H IAU World Record in Pabianice, Poland, covering an unprecedented 403.32 km, marking her as the first woman to achieve this feat twice.

The year 2023 added further accolades to her illustrious career. At the IAU 24H World Championships, Bereznowska attained the bronze medal and also emerged victorious at the 24H World Master Championship in her age category, contributing to a gold medal win alongside the Polish team. She had very strong opening for the 2024, as she improved her PB during 2024 IAU Gold Label 48H Taipei Ultramarathon where she run 427.524 km. This is second longer 48h women race. Bereznowska's consistent excellence and record-breaking performances continue to solidify her status as an icon in the world of ultra-running.
