Official Visit of IAU President Nadeem Khan to Romania & Hungary Strengthens Federation Ties.
IAU President Nadeem Khan completed official visits to Romania and Hungary, reinforcing cooperation between the International Association of Ultrarunners and national federations across Central and Eastern Europe.
In Romania, Mr. Khan met with Constantina Diță, President of the Romanian Athletics Federation and Olympic marathon champion. The Federation expressed a growing commitment to ultrarunning development and interest in hosting a future IAU Championship.
Mr. Khan welcomed Romania’s renewed engagement, noting the importance of strong national involvement for athlete development and community growth. The discussions set a solid foundation for continued cooperation.
In Hungary, Mr. Khan met in Budapest with Tamas Molnar, Hugarian Athletics Federation Ultrarunning Committee President. Their meeting reaffirmed a strong working relationship and highlighted ongoing efforts to advance ultrarunning in the country. Both sides discussed the current landscape of the sport and opportunities for deeper collaboration.
