International and Interdisciplinary Symposium
A New Understanding of the Role of Sports Medicine
Innovative Aspects of Prevention, Performance Enhancement, and Rehabilitation
April 5, 2025
Academy Jentschura
Otto-Hahn-Straße 22-26, 48161 Münster
As a long-term full-time sports medical doctor for various national teams (Rugby, Ultra-endurance running, Athletics, etc.) from Romania and specialist in sports medicine, I am pleased to contribute my experience since August 2023 at the Center for Regenerative Medicine, Orthopedics, and Sports Medicine (Z.O.R.) Dr. Ulrich Frohberger in Münster. Dr. Frohberger, a longtime sports physician in high-performance sports (Basketball, Volleyball, Swimming, Modern Pentathlon, etc.) and board member of several professional societies, especially in the field of osteology, advocates for the integration of sports medicine thinking with the goal of causal regenerative therapy for the stabilization, restoration, and optimization of physical performance and endurance.
On April 5, 2025, I will organize an international and interdisciplinary symposium in Münster, to which I have invited international colleagues from the world of high-performance sports with whom I have had a strong working relationship for many years.
The topics will focus on new aspects in prevention, performance enhancement, and rehabilitation in various high-performance sports. Colleagues from the USA, Germany, Romania, the UK, Portugal, and others have already confirmed their participation.
The venue will be the newly opened Jentschura Academy in Münster (opened in 2023), which focuses on training health professionals to promote an alkaline diet and a healthy lifestyle, including the use of hydrotherapy in its own bath department. Numerous athletes, including the USC Münster volleyball women's Bundesliga team, track and field athletes, and strength athletes, take advantage of these training and support opportunities.
Experts (doctors, therapists, athletes, and trainers) including IAU President Nadeem Khan, Chair of IAU Medical Committee Matthias Reick and memebr of IAU Medical Committee Beatrice Constandache, will be invited to exchange ideas on current developments in sports medicine and discuss innovative approaches.
Above you will find the current program.
On behalf of Beatrice Constandache
