We are happy to announce that New Delhi, India, will be the host city for the 2025 IAU 50 km World Championships. This prestigious event is scheduled to take place on December 7, 2025, and marks the first in a series of three championships that will continue in 2027 and 2029 in India.
India has a history of hosting international running events, having successfully organized the 50 km World Championship in Hyderabad in 2023 and the 100 km World Championship in Bengaluru in 2024. Additionally, the country has hosted two continental championships: the 100 km in 2023 and the 24-hour championship in 2022.
We are very happy to see India hosting the next three editions of the 50km Workd Championships. The championships will be top notch under the leadership of The Athletics Federation of Indian and NEB Sports. Having a home till 2029 will give 50km a platform to grow and transform to a global running event. Looking forward to seeing you all in India's capital!
