We are happy to announce the 2026 Technical Education Course for ultrarunning, which will once again be conducted online to accommodate participants from Europe, Canada and the Americas. This initiative continues the successful face‑to‑face technical education programs held in previous years and aims to equip individuals who will serve as Technical Delegates for IAU Label events with valuable technical knowledge and skills.
Course Details
The online education program will cover essential topics relevant to ultrarunning, ensuring that participants receive comprehensive and practical instruction. Designed to be inclusive, the course allows a diverse group of participants to learn together and share experiences, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
The course will be delivered by:

- Andre Mingneau, IAU Director of Competitions
Dates and Times (Duration: 3 hours)
- Session 1: April 25th – English. Registration deadline Wednesday April 22nd.
- Session 2: April 26th – Spanish. Registration deadline Wednesday April 22nd.

Nomination Process
To participate in this training program, nominations must be submitted by Member Federations. This ensures that each country is represented and that participants are selected based on their commitment and potential to benefit from the training. It is particularly helpful if nominees already have technical responsibilities within their federation or possess relevant technical skills.

Training high‑calibre technical officials in ultrarunning is an important part of the IAU development program. Offering this education across Asia, Oceania, Africa, Europe, and the Americas will strengthen the technical expertise of officials and support their involvement in more IAU Label events and championships.
