The IAU Records Committee has completed its review of recent record applications, resulting in the ratification of eight (8) records by the IAU Council. Of these, five (5) are age-category records.
The newly ratified records include outstanding performances by Sarah Webster (GBR) and Holly Rebecca Ranson (AUS) at the 2025 IAU 24HR World Championships in Albi, France:
- Sarah Webster (GBR) set the IAU 24H Women’s World Record and the IAU 24H Women’s European Record, covering a distance of 278.621 km. It is as well W45 record.
- Holly Rebecca Ranson (AUS) established the IAU 24H Women’s Oceania Record, with a distance of 274.172 km. It is as well W35 record.
These performances represent exceptional achievements in ultra-distance running and have now been officially recognised by the IAU.
