IAU Publishes Updated Safeguarding Policy Aligned with World Athletics Standards.
The International Association of Ultrarunners (IAU) has released its updated Safeguarding Policy, reaffirming the organisation’s commitment to ensuring a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment across all ultradistance running activities.
The new policy, approved by the IAU Council on 12th May 2026, aligns fully with World Athletics safeguarding standards and guidance. It outlines the IAU’s dedication to protecting children, young people, and adults at risk from harm, abuse, or exploitation within the sport.
