Dear General Secretary.
There has been considerable interest from federations for nominating candidates for the IAU Elections in May 2021. The deadline was midday (GMT) 22nd March and we can now publish the list of nominations which is provided in the link above.
May I remind you of the other deadlines outlined in my previous correspondence of 19th February.
Candidates may provide me with a CV (maximum size 2 A4 pages) by April 5th for inclusion in the final circulation of the agenda and papers. Due to the electronic voting procedure needing to take place over several days for the necessary election sequence and to cover all time zones, there will be no online verbal statements, only candidate CVs as circulated with the Congress papers.
A reminder also that Federations need to register one specific email address with us by April 22nd to be issued with final instructions and passwords for voting in the election. These are beginning to come in.
