IAU Communications Committee Holds First Meeting
The IAU Communications Committee held its first meeting last week, an informal session designed to help members get to know one another and share their areas of expertise. The discussion focused on how we can build on the strong communications work already in place while identifying opportunities that are not yet being fully utilised.
One key area we will prioritise in the months ahead is athlete‑focused content. In particular, we plan to expand our use of athlete interviews and personal stories, especially as we approach major IAU Championships. Highlighting the experiences, motivations, and journeys of our athletes will help bring greater visibility to the sport and deepen engagement across the global ultrarunning community.
