IAU 6H Virtual Global solidarity Run Poland
We are pleased to share results for Poland. Congratulations and thank you for participating in the Global Event.
It was great and special weeknd for Poland. On one site the IAU 6H Virtual Global Solidarity Run and at the same time we witnessed the second edition of ultrarunning festival „UltraPark Weekend” in Pabianice.
It was the competition on four different ultra-distances
- the 2nd Polish Cup in the 48-hour run,
- the Polish championship in the 24-hour run,
- the Polish championship in the 100 km run
- the 50-kilometer ultramarathon
Those races have attracted many titled competitors, which, combined with tromoundes work that the organizers performed for the second time made us witnesses incredible events and at the same time great emotions. In Pabianice, not only two European Best Performances (100 km and 24H) were set but also many personal bests, national bests including unofficial World Best Performance for 6H. All this confirms the opinion that this event has been a place for one of the best runners and the track itself proves to be the fastest running routes in Europe.
I am very happy that both routes of our competition are not only nice, but also really suitable for breaking records. From the very beginning I dreamed of a Polish record at one of the distances during our events, but now we have two of them at 100 km and 24H. It is not all as both of them are European records as well.

ABM Jędraszek UltraPark 48h (the Polish Cup in the 48-hour race), was the opening event on Friday, August 28 at 6:30 p.m.
In the second run of the festival, (SelfMaker UltraPark 24h), which also included the 13th PZLA Polish Championship in the 24-hour run, it started on Saturday morning, at 7:00 am with 93 competitors. There were such famous and titled names from the top of Polish ultra races, such as Patrycja Bereznowska, Małgorzata Pazda-Pozorska, Aneta Rajda, Kamila Wróbel, Monika Biegasiewicz, Roman Elwart, Andrzej Wereszczak, Leszek Małyszek, Rafał Kot, Aleksandra Niwińska and Przemysław Basa.
On the third day of the festival, on Sunday, August 30, ultrasprinters took over the Pabianice UltraPark Weekend. A total of 78 competitors took part in the distances of 50 and 100 kilometers. The "hundred" aroused the greatest interest, which also included the 12th PZLA Polish Championships in the 100 km.
In fact, from Friday morning we were very afraid that the weather would be our biggest problem this year. There were times, especially at the end of the 100-kilometer run, that the gusty wind and hail rain grew so intense that the continuation of the competition hung in the balance. Fortunately, we managed to make it to the very end and watch the great competition. Congratulations to all competitors and I am glad that we could participate in the global event organized by IAU. We are sure it will be even better next year!
