IAU 6H Virtual Global Solidarity Run Canada

We are pleased to share results for Canada. Congratulations and thank you for participating in the Global Event.

Well it is done, today, around the globe, athletes laced up their shoes and hit the road for the IAU 6 Hrs Global Solidarity Run 2020. With the pandemic still affecting our running community, the International Association of Ultramarathons (IAU) decided to host a global event to bring together the ultrarunners from 33 countries to participate in this event in their own community. The Association Canadian Ultramarathoners (ACU) accepted the invitation and a team was registered. Always very proud to represent Canada.

Armand Leblanc, Team Manager

Lise and I (Armand Leblanc) as well as 2 members of our running group, accepted the challenge. Jennifer Plante and Andre Plante were pretty nervous this morning, being their first attempt at an ultra event. The weather was perfect for the day, overcast, light rain at the start, heavy downpour at the 4 hour mark, light brises along the course, very nice overall.

Men
Plante Andre 53.50 km
Czuchnicki Cole 73.88 km
Smith Lee 60.61 km
LeBlanc Armand 51.8 km

Women
Simpson Stephanie 69.01 km
Plante Jennifer 50.05 km
Caskie Carolyn 62.6 km
Gagne Lise 54.88 km

Congratulations to all, very well done!!
