The Preliminary Entry Form (PEF) window has now officially closed for the upcoming IAU 100km World Championships in Ames, Spain. With entries finalised, the event is set to welcome a strong and diverse global field.
A total of 47 federations have submitted entries using the World Athletics Entry System, confirming 288 athletes for the Championship. This includes 167 men (58%) and 121 women (42%), reflecting a balanced and competitive international lineup. Federations have also registered 146 officials, ensuring comprehensive team support throughout the event.
As we move forward, federations are reminded that Final Entries Forms (FEF) can be submitted from 1st August until the final deadline of 30th August. This next phase is essential for confirming athlete participation and completing all required Championship documentation.
These numbers highlight the continued commitment of federations worldwide to ultradistance running and to the IAU’s flagship 100km Championship. The Organising Committee in Ames, together with the IAU, will now proceed with the next phase of preparations ahead of the Final Entry Deadline.
