On March 26th and 27th we had the pleasure to host IAU’s first online Medical Conference on “Training for the Ultradistances”.
IAU takes pride in its global representation. This conference was a reflection of that being part of a global community. There were five speakers from all over the world who spoke on multiple topics. It was an enriching experience to listen to their expert presentations and share their passion for our sport. Both days were very interactive and we are sharing the recording from both sessions in case you missed the talks
The chair of the IAU Medical Committee, Dr. Matthias Reick was thankful “that we were able to present a wide variety of topics on Training for the Ultramarathon with high quality and practical relevance. My appreciation and gratitude to the presenters from all over the globe for their expertise and willingness to present”.
Nadeem Khan, IAU President is ecstatic saying, “This conference brought a new dimension to the world of ultrarunning community. The global representation, the engaging topics and the enthusiastic participation has opened up the platform for future virtual conferences where we can bring ultrarunning and medical experts to the international community."
The IAU Medical Committee and the IAU thanks the speaker and appreciates the hard work they did in presenting to the ultrarunning community.
