IAU Silver label 6H and 50km event „6 godzin pełnej MOCY”

The Polish Ultra Sports Association “Stowarzyszenie Sportowe Polskie Ultra” organized the 5th edition of the race „6 godzin pełnej MOCY” on April 20th 2024. This event also hosted the 2nd Polish National Championships in the 6-hour race and the 2nd Mazovia Relay Championships in the 6-hour race.

Start of the race

This year 6H and 50 km race were recognized by IAU for its high standard and received IAU Silver Label again. Each year, in addition to strong Polish ultra-runners, guests from abroad visit the venue. High performance during the race were confirmed by records breaking performances from Ukraine, Romania, Serbia, the Czech Republic, Belgium, and numerous Polish athletes. All done during last weekend. This year, the weather was favorable, resulting in a strong and fast race.

 

For the fourth time in this event, Dariusz Nożyński (POL) emerged victorious with a distance of 93.67km. He was the only one to opt for the 100km run and set a Polish record (stadium) of 6:28:15. Second place went to Czech runner Lukas Kozlik, who covered a distance of 89.53km, setting a record for his country on the 6H race. Mateusz Dajnowski secured third place with a distance of 85.36km.

Men podium

Among the women, the competition for victory was intense until the very end. Ultimately, Mara Guler won with a new record for Romania, covering a distance of 77.63km. Second place went to Patrycja Bereznowska (POL), she ran 76.91km, and Katarzyna Chojnacka (POL) secured third place with a distance of 76.12km.

Women podium (national Championships)

The relay competition was incredibly exciting and vibrant. Amateur groups ambitiously achieved remarkable results. In the women's category, the "ZabieganeDni" relay won with a distance of 85.5km, while the men from the "Biegające Ząbki" team crossed the magical 100km mark, covering an impressive 108.4km.

The event was a testament to the dedication and skill of the participants, showcasing the spirit of competitive running and camaraderie and great organization confirming high standard.
