We are delighted to announce that Taipei, Chinese Taipei, has been selected to host the 2027 IAU 24H World Championships on December 03rd - 04th.
Taipei has established itself as one of the premier hosts of international ultrarunning events, having successfully organised the 2023 IAU 24H World Championships and the 2018 IAU 24H Asia & Oceania Championships. The Chinese Taipei Association of Ultrarunners (CTAU) and the Local Organising Committee also have a long and distinguished history of delivering major IAU championships and international ultrarunning events, demonstrating their experience, professionalism and commitment to the sport.
This appointment reflects both the strength of CTAU and Taipei's longstanding contribution to ultrarunning through the internationally recognised Soochow 24H International Race. Now in its 23rd edition, the race is one of Asia's most prestigious ultrarunning events and has played a significant role in the development of 24-hour racing both regionally and internationally.
The IAU is confident that the experience, expertise and passion of the local organising team will provide athletes, officials and supporters with an outstanding championship experience.
We look forward to welcoming the global ultrarunning community to Taipei in 2027 for another memorable edition of the IAU 24H World Championships.
