Please find below a list of open championships in the period of 2027 -2029.
Federations are invited to work with Race Organisers and potential LOCs to send in any expressions of interest (EOI) for any IAU Championships that are open for bids. Any EOI should list the championships being bid for and possible dates to hold the event, previous race organisation experience proposed course, accommodation and travel proposals and IAU Member Federation approval.
Please note below date for the EOI and full bid application.
- Bids open for EOI from February 1st. Submit to, championships@iau-ultramarathon.org
- Full bidding documentation will be sent to those submitting EOI by April 1st.
- Full Application received: June 1st 2026 to Nov 1st 2026. Submit to championships@iau-ultramarathon.org
In the event that the initial bidding process does not yield sufficient interest or formal bids for our events, we reserves the right to proactively reach out to national federations and local organizing committees to explore hosting opportunities and fill the gaps in the championship calendar. This direct engagement ensures that our athletes maintain a consistent and high-quality competitive schedule.
