IAU is proud to announce the results of the 2025 elections for the IAU Executive Council and Area Representatives for the term 2025-2029 that took place on Friday, October 17th 2025 before IAU 24H World Championships in Albi, France.
IAU President Nadeem Khan expresses his sincere gratitude to the outgoing members of the Council, including Vice President Robert Boyce, General Secretary Hilary Walker, Directors Jacek Bedkowski, Hilmy Aboud Said, Paco Rico, Diana Amza (stepped down mid-term), and André Mingneau, who was co-opted to the council as Director in May 2024 for all the work done on behalf of IAU. President Khan also extends his thanks to all area representatives, Arturo Fabian Campanini Lopez (Americas), Solomon Ogba (Africa), Nagaraj Adiga (Asia & Oceania) and Gregorio Zucchinali (Europe).
Big thanks to Athletes Commission for cooperation with IAU Council, all IAU Committees working on different aspects of IAU activities (Technical, Award, Medical, Records, Marketing & Promotion, Communication and Labelling) and finally committee responsible for organizing the IAU's 40th anniversary celebration.
IAU appreciates the engagement and participation of all Federations at the congress, elections, trusting the Council for working on behalf of Federations as well commitment which has been crucial for the development of ultrarunning globally.
I would like to thank the outgoing council for their commitment, hard-work and enthusiasm putting ultrarunning on the global map. It was an exciting four years. I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome the new council and look forward to setting the course for the sport over the next four years.

Results of the Elections
Nadeem Khan was re-elected as President, while Jacek Bedkowski and Robert Boyce assume new roles as Vice President and Treasurer, respectively. Hilary Walker was re-elected and continues as General Secretary. The Council welcomes new Director John O'Regan, alongside returning Directors Hilmy Aboud Said, Paco Rico and André Mingneau. The Area Representatives remain unchanged for Arturo Fabian Campanini Lopez and Solomon Ogba continuing in their roles as Americas and Africa Representative respectively, while Frank Kuo and John Pares join as new representatives for Asia & Oceania and Europe.
As the IAU embarks on this new term, President Nadeem Khan congratulates all council members on their new positions and expresses optimism for the future of the organization. He also acknowledges the invaluable contributions of the various commissions and committees within the IAU, whose hard work and dedication have significantly advanced the sport.
