The 2025 IAU 24H World Championships held in Albi, France on October 18-19, showcased incredible performances from elite ultrarunners. Sarah Webster from Great Britain and Northern Ireland emerged as the women’s champion, setting a new IAU world record with an impressive distance of 278.622 km. In individual standings, Holly Ranson of Australia claimed the silver, while Miho Nakata from Japan took home the bronze. All three women run further than current IAU World Record.
On the men’s side, Andrii Tkachuk of Ukraine secured the title, leading a strong field that saw silver go to Jo Inge Norum of Norway and bronze to Matti Jonkka of Finland. The male medalists all surpassed the distance of 283 km.
