We are now sharing the final list of all nomination for 2024 IAU Athlete of the year. We would like to congratulate all 23 athletes (12 women and 11 men) who was nominated as they deserved to be on the list and their achievements in 2024 should be recognized. This mean we are moving to voting step in the process. The voting is only open to the IAU Executive Council members, two members of the Athletes Commission and the Member Federations with each holding one (1) applicable vote. The process starts today on January 30th 2025 and will end on February 14th 2025. All details are provided below.

Voting process:
The voting is only open to the IAU Executive Council, two members of the Athletes Commission and the Member Federations with each holding one (1) applicable vote. The process will start on January 30th 2025 and will end on February 14th 2025.
Each voter should rank their top three (3) choices for both men and women from the final list of nominees as follows:
- 1st Choice: 5 points
- 2nd Choice: 3 points
- 3rd Choice: 1 point
