WMTRC 2023: France takes home double-Gold in the Trail Long

On the third race day of the World Mountain and Trail Running Championships Innsbruck-Stubai 2023 (WMTRC), Benjamin Roubiol and Marion Delespierre, both from France, came out on top and won Gold. The supreme discipline in trail running started in Neustift im Stubaital and took the athletes over 86 long kilometers and across the Kreuzjoch, the Hoadl and the Nordkette to the finish line in Innsbruck. Alexander Hutter, who came in 20th, and Claudia Rosegger, in 19th place, were the fastest Austrian athletes.

WMTRC Trail Short: Norway and France take home Gold

On the second race day of World Mountain and Trail Running Championships Innsbruck-Stubai 2023 (WMTRC), Norwegian Stian Hovind Angermund defended his title and took home Gold in the men’s Trail Short. The race started at the Landestheater (Tyrol State Theater) in Innsbruck and passed alpine terrain, with the Kalkkögel being one of the highlights on the way to the finish line in Neustift im Stubai. Among the women, Clementine Geoffray from France took home the victory.
