It is great to see strong team from New Zealand taking part of our Global Solidarity weekend again. This is true testimony that we are having fun globally. Below you can find results and feedback from the team as well.
Feedback from the team members were all hugely positive-several had to endure very hot conditions so did not achieve the distances they wanted to, but they were all proud to represent New Zealand and loved being part of this famous global challenge.
The athletes pass on their congratulations to all the other athletes from all over the world and to the IAU for establishing and running this event. They cant wait until the next challenge and many thanks for the opportunity

A great training weekend finishing today with running 6 hours (representing NZ) over tough terrain & heat on the trail and mountain the course up and down the mountain and around covering 50.90 km. I focused more on elevation (rather than distance), & training down hill too, as my next races are all mountain & trail based
I’m doing it this year - not entirely sure where I’ll run yet but will be laps somewhere around Cambridge on Sunday
I've been on the track the last couple of years so this year I'm going to mix it up and do something more challenging: hill repeats and if you know me, I hate hills
Plan is to get dropped at the top of Donna Buang near Melbourne and start with 25km down hill before hitting the Warburton to Lilydale rail trail and see how far I get on the flat. Was going to do Saturday but that’s 35 degrees, so shifting to Sunday hoping cooler…
Done, 54.07km. Laps of my block through the night. Legs sure are still a bit dead from the Motatapu
Overall, the Team completed 324,15 km
