2019 IAU 100 km Asia and Oceania Championship - start list

2019 IAU 100 km Asia and Oceania Championship. On November 23rd the 2019 IAU 100 km Asia and Oceania Championships will take place in Aqaba, Jordan. Jordan Athletic Federation is organizing the event. There are 5 Federation that will take part of the event (Australia, India, Japan, Jordan and Lebanon).

Aqaba is a town 3.5 hours south of Amman. Well connected with Europe and Asia. Ayla Resort is one of the sites being considered that is going to be used for the Championships.

There is a strong representation from India with 6 men and 3 women lead by Sandeep Kumar who completed Comrades marathon sub 7:30h. We will have 6 athletes from Australia, full men and women team (3 + 3) lead by Brendan Davies who participated in several IAU Championships.

Japan as always sends strong runners and there are no exceptions this year. There are 2 men with PBs 6:14-6:18 (Tatsuya Itagaki and Hideaki Yamauchi). Both runners well know at International level. Inn women team all 3 ladies are with PBs below 8H and they will be the favorites to take team gold lead by Mai Fujisawa with PB 7:32h.

Jordan will have a strong men team represented by 5 runners and have opportunity to run in home country.
