We know and understand that 50km is an important part of the athletes´ schedules. In order to give our athletes a platform to run against the best in the world and have a 50km World Championship this year, we have started discussion with an LOC in China.
We are working closely with the LOC and also with Chinese Athletic Association to study the feasibility of organizing the 50km world champs in China this year.We appreciate that we have to respect athletes´ schedules. The discussions are ongoing and we will inform our federations as soon as possible on whether the championships are going to go ahead in a timely manner.
