In order to make it possible to elect a new IAU President during the IAU Congress in 2018, the IAU Executive Council will convene an Extraordinary Congress on June 30th 2017 at the occasion of the IAU World Championships 24H in Belfast.
Meanwhile the Vice President, Nadeem Khan (picture), will take over the tasks of the President till the IAU Congress 2018.
