2018 IAU 24H EC first post

2018 IAU 24H European ChampionshipIt is our great pleasure to share with you that the IAU Council accepted the bid from Timisoara, Romania for the IAU 24 Hour European Championships. The race will take place on May 26-27, 2018.

Paco Rico, Technical Delegate for the event and Nadeem Khan, IAU Vice President met the delegation from Romania while they were having site visit for the 100 km World Championship in Croatia. The meeting took place in the last days of November and the LOC for the 24H European Championship had a very good proposal.

Details about the last edition of the S24H race

On November 22nd-24th, 2018 the S24H race took place. The S24H is an ultra-running race that takes place in Timisoara, Romania, in “Ion Creanga” Children’s Park (address: 20, Bulevardul Revolutiei din 1989).

The course consists of one loop of 1236 meter, asphalted and lit during night time. On the loop there will be two hydration/refreshment points (providing water, glucose, electrolytes, fruit, pretzels, chocolate, hot meals etc.).
