IAU 24H World/European Championships 2015

IAU 24H World and European Championships, Turin, 11/12th April 2015. Update. This will be a world breaking championships for us all. On receipt of all the Final Entry Forms, we have 42 countries competing with 330 athletes. A new World Best for any IAU Championships. As always, there are a lot of final details to be sorted with Federation teams regarding accommodation costs and payments and we would ask that Federations pay any agreed costs as soon as possible. However…

In the last few days, there has been a medical emergency within the LOC so that the LOC needs to regroup and sort out arrangements for the organisation. We are all supporting the LOC at this point from both the IAU and FIDAL, the Italian National Athletic Federation. So, together with our Italian Ultra colleagues, we are“pulling out all stops” to ensure that there is no hiatus in the run up to the IAU Championships. Please bear with us if there isn’t an immediate response to your questions but we will ensure that issues regarding visas and accommodation will be sorted as soon as possible as a priority.Hilary WalkerIAU General Secretary24/3/2015
