The event has been the next step for marathon runners stepping into the ultra world and these championships will help to solidify this on the international stage. Hence the annual format until 2017 when it will be reviewed again.
Organizing the 50km Worlds in Doha will allow us to promote the sport in the region. We look forward to building the sport there in the next few years.
