2018 IAU Career Awards The IAU Career award has been established since 2014 to recognize for tireless ultrarunning enthusiasts who have worked long and hard to increase the profile of national and international ultrarunning. This prestigious honour recognizes the hard work and dedication in developing and promoting the sport over the years. We are committed to honouring the individuals who have paved the way of the sport for the future. It is our great pleasure to announce that we awarded two individuals with the IAU Career Award. The Award went to Donald Alexander Ritchie [GBR] (passed away in June 2018) and Jürgen Schoch [GER]. The awards will be presented at the earliest convenience. 2018 IAU Career Awards

2021 IAU 24 hours World Championship.We are very pleased to announce that the 2021 IAU 24 Hour World Championship was granted to Timisoara in Romania. The International Association of Ultrarunners (IAU), the Romanian Athletics Federation (RAF) and the Local Organization Committee (LOC) represented by Super Sports Club are proud to organize this event that will take place on 22 – 23rd May 2021. 2021 IAU 24 hours World Championship

2021 IAU 24 hours World Championship.We are very pleased to announce that the 2021 IAU 24 Hour World Championship was granted to Timisoara in Romania. The International Association of Ultrarunners (IAU), the Romanian Athletics Federation (RAF) and the Local Organization Committee (LOC) represented by Super Sports Club are proud to organize this event that will take place on 22 – 23rd May 2021.

2018 IAU 24H Asia & Oceania Championship race reportJapan dominated 2018 IAU 24 hour Asia & Oceania Championship. Yuri Matsumoto (219.112 km) and Yoshihiko Ishikawa (253.420 km) both from Japan took home gold medals in individual competition. They lead both teams for double gold medals at Team competition with Women aggregated result of 620.181 km and Men 752.474 km. Yuri Matsumoto (219.112 km) and Yoshihiko Ishikawa (253.420 km) both from Japan took home gold medals in individual competition. The IAU is delighted to announce that they have formed an Athletes Commission to meet the needs of its members.This Commission is a forward thinking and advisory body that acts as an advocate for all athletes’ of the National Federations that are affiliated to the IAU.
