Nagaraj Adiga, IAU Asia & Oceania Representative

Profession:

An engineer by profession and a fitness enthusiast. After a successful stint in the corporate for over 20 years, I manage to build businesses in electronics, solar power, infrastructure and funding. In 2007, started NEB Sports and introduced ‘city marathons’ pan India. With a vision to make the mass event scenario vibrant and enjoyable, he has been a chieftain in curating, organising and executing running events across the country which are not only extremely runner-friendly but also have sustainable practices.

In 2015, I introduced the Indian Running Community to Stadium Ultramarathon events. This led to Indian Ultra Runners' meeting criteria set by the Ultra & Trail Running Committee of the AFI to participate in the International Championships held by the IAU and ITRA.

Sport:

A runner that encouraged ultra runners and has been the main sponsor for teams sent to World and Asia & Oceania Championships. Since 2017 when India became a member of the IAU and eligible to send teams for the Championships, India has won the bronze medal (Men, Individual, and Team) at the 2018 IAU 24 Hour Championships at Taipei and the 2019 100K Championships at Jordan.

Goals:

As the CMD of NEB Sports and Area Representative – Asia & Oceania for IAU, my goal is to support athletes with enough training so that thay can perform well in international events.
