Buud and Herron win 28th IAU 100km World Championships
Buud and Herron win the 28th IAU 100km World Championships. In the Men´s race Jonas Buud (SWE) took the world title and Camille Herron (USA) took the gold in the women´s division. Buud doubled up as the European Champion and his teammate Kajsa Berg took the women´s European title.
Camille Herron
Camille Herron is an American ultramarathon runner. She is the first athlete to win all three of the IAU's 50K, 100K, and 24 Hour World Championships. She is the first and only woman to run under 13 hours for 100 miles and to reach 270 km for 24-Hours.

Athlete of the Year 2018 - nomination. 2018 was a very exciting year for the sport of ultrarunning. Several championships took place starting with Trail World Championship in Penyagolosa, Spain, followed shortly by the European 24H Championship in Timisoara, Romania, then 100 km World Championship in Sveti Martin na Muri, Croatia and finally Asia & Oceania 24H Championship in Taipei, Taiwan. We witnessed outstanding performances during those races.
