2019 Athlete of the Year � nominations

2019 Athlete of the Year – nominations. As in previous years we are continuing with the Athletes of the Year process. Year 2019 was a very exciting and at the same time very busy year for the sport of ultrarunning. It was the first time in 35 years of IAU history when we had six championships held in all regions.

Post Race 100km World Championships 2016

Yamauchi and Bull win the 29th IAU 100km wolrd Championships. The 29th IAU 100km World Championships took place in Los Alcazares, Spain on Nov 27th 2016. There were 187 runners representing 37 countries in the race that went around a 10km loop along the Mediterranean Sea.

First IAU 50 km Africa Championship � provisional results

First IAU 50 km Africa Championship – provisional results. We are sharing provisional results for the 2019 IAU 50 km Africa Championship that took place on December 7th in Sagamu, Nigeria. It was double gold for South Africa Individual and Team competition. In addition 4 medals for home land Nigeria and one medal for Zimbabwe.

2019 IAU 50 Km World Championship – race-report. The 50KM World Championships took place on September 1, 2019 in the Braşov city in Romania and was organized by the IAU, together with the Romanian Athletics Federation, with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sport, the City Hall of Brașov, the Prefecture of Braşov and the Brașov County Council.

30 IAU 100 km WC post race report

30th IAU 100 km World Championship - post race report Nikolina Sustic (CRO) in 7:20:34 and Hideaki Yamauchi (JPN) in 6:28:05 took home the gold running the 100km in Croatia. For Nikolina it was a home win and for Hideaki second gold in a row after winning in 2016 in Spain.

IAU Career Awards 2014 Recipients Announced. This year the IAU had initiated the an Annual Career Award dedciated for tireless ultrarunning enthusiasts who ahve worked long and hard to increase the profile of national and international ultrarunning.
