Jordan site visit and press conference for future championship opportunities. IAU President Nadeem Khan visited Jordan and discussed with Saad Al‐Hiyasat, President of Jordanian Athletic Federation (JAF), the possibility to organize an IAU championship in Jordan.

Athlete of the Year 2018 - nomination

Athlete of the Year 2018 - nomination. 2018 was a very exciting year for the sport of ultrarunning. Several championships took place starting with Trail World Championship in Penyagolosa, Spain, followed shortly by the European 24H Championship in Timisoara, Romania, then 100 km World Championship in Sveti Martin na Muri, Croatia and finally Asia & Oceania 24H Championship in Taipei, Taiwan. We witnessed outstanding performances during those races.

2019 IAU Trail World Championship � GIS published

2019 IAU Trail World Championship – GIS published. On June 8th 2019 the IAU Trail World Championship will take place in Mirandha do Corvo, Portugal. All the IAU Member Federations have just been sent the invitations, entry forms (Preliminary Entry Form and Final Entry Form) and General Information Sheet (GIS) for the World Championships.

2021 IAU 24 hours World Championship

2021 IAU 24 hours World Championship.We are very pleased to announce that the 2021 IAU 24 Hour World Championship was granted to Timisoara in Romania. The International Association of Ultrarunners (IAU), the Romanian Athletics Federation (RAF) and the Local Organization Committee (LOC) represented by Super Sports Club are proud to organize this event that will take place on 22 – 23rd May 2021.

2018 IAU Asia& Oceania 24H Championship - race report

2018 IAU 24H Asia & Oceania Championship race reportJapan dominated 2018 IAU 24 hour Asia & Oceania Championship. Yuri Matsumoto (219.112 km) and Yoshihiko Ishikawa (253.420 km) both from Japan took home gold medals in individual competition. They lead both teams for double gold medals at Team competition with Women aggregated result of 620.181 km and Men 752.474 km. This was fantastic event.

IAU Athletes Commission

IAU Athletes Commission. The IAU is delighted to announce that they have formed an Athletes Commission to meet the needs of its members.This Commission is a forward thinking and advisory body that acts as an advocate for all athletes’ of the National Federations that are affiliated to the IAU. It deals, among other things, with all issues raised by athletes and liaises as and when deemed necessary with the IAU Council.

2018 IAU Asia& Oceania 24H Championship - prerace report

2018 IAU Asia& Oceania 24H Championship pre-pace report. 2018 IAU Asia& Oceania 24H Championship will be held at Taipei, Taiwan on December 1 st – 2 nd . The LOC is Soochow University who hosts the prestigious Soochow 24h race. This will be the 18th edition of Soochow 24H race in conjunction with continental championship race. The OM is the Chinese Taipei Association of Ultrarunners.

2020 IAU 24 Hour European Championship announcement.[EDITED] - proposed date changed. We are very pleased to announce that the 2020 IAU 24H European Championships was granted to San Giovanni Lupatoto, Verona, Italy. The proposed date for the Championships is 19th – 20th September 2020.
