2019 IAU 100 km Asia and Oceania Championship - start list

2019 IAU 100 km Asia and Oceania Championship. On November 23rd the 2019 IAU 100 km Asia and Oceania Championships will take place in Aqaba, Jordan. Jordan Athletic Federation is organizing the event. There are 5 Federation that will take part of the event (Australia, India, Japan, Jordan and Lebanon).

2019 IAU 50 km Africa Championship announcement.

2021 IAU 50 km World Championship announcement. We are very pleased to announce that the 2021 IAU 50 km World Championships was granted to Taipei, Taiwan. The Championships will take place on October 31st, 2021 and it will be organize by Chinese Taipei Association of Ultrarunners (CTAU).

2019 IAU 24 H World Championship � Official Results

2019 IAU 24 H World Championship – Official Results. Camille Herron (USA) and Aleksandr Sorokin (LTH) are the 2019 IAU 24H World Champions. In the Team competition USA took gold for both Women and Men with combined distance of 746.132 km and 799.754 km respectively. For Camille Herron with 270.116 km it was the World Best Performance (awaiting ratification) and for Aleskandr Sorokin new National Best (awaiting ratification) with 278.972 km.

2019 IAU 24 H World Championship � provisional results

2019 IAU 24 H World Championship – provisional results. The 2019 IAU 24H World Championships took place on 26th – 27th October in Albi, France. It was the biggest championship so far with recorded 45 Member Federation participated in the event. Camille Herron from USA (270,116 km – World Best Performance) and Aleksandr Sorokin from Lithuania (278,973– Lithuanian Best Performance) won the Championship. USA took gold for both Women and Men Team Championships.

2019 IAU 24 Hour World Championship � FEF completed

2019 IAU 24 Hour World Championship – FEF completed. We are getting closer to 2019 IAU 24H World Championships that will take place in Abli, France. The Final Entry Forms were provided by Member Federations to the LOC, this means we can now share some interesting facts.

Updates from Record Committee

Updates from Record Committee In the last few months IAU Record Committee worked on several projects. There was a need to updated documentation that is associated with records application. In addition new list of Continental Best Performances were established, following IAU Council Members approval in Brasov, Romania.

AFI) submitted a bid to host two continental Championship

Athletics Federation of India (AFI) submitted a bid to host two continental ultra running championships in Bengaluru in 2020 & 2021. Athletics Federation of India has expressed interest to host two continental championships in the next couple of years for which bids have already been submitted. Nadeem Khan, IAU President and Rober Boyce, IAU Vice-President had their first official visit in India to assess the possibility for the Federation to become the host of the IAU event. With support of NEB Sports, India has bid for hosting the IAU 24 Hour Asia & Oceania Championships in 2020 and the IAU 100 Km Asia and Oceania Championships in 2021, which is being discussed during this visit.

2019 IAU 50 Km World Championship � race-report

2019 IAU 50 Km World Championship – race-report. The 50KM World Championships took place on September 1, 2019 in the Braşov city in Romania and was organized by the IAU, together with the Romanian Athletics Federation, with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sport, the City Hall of Brașov, the Prefecture of Braşov and the Brașov County Council.
