2019 Athlete of the Year – nominations. As in previous years we are continuing with the Athletes of the Year process. Year 2019 was a very exciting and at the same time very busy year for the sport of ultrarunning. It was the first time in 35 years of IAU history when we had six championships held in all regions.

Continental Records – provisional list of records. Following on from our last communication on Continental Records we would like to take a step forward and share with you the outcome of the work done so far on this initiative. As communicated earlier the goal is to absolute the Continental Records for 24H, 50K and 100K ensuring that they are all up to date. We as an organization believe that this is a great opportunity to further develop ultra-running not only globally but also in the localized regions.
Organization year end updates
Organization 2019 year end updates. Year 2019 was an outstanding and very busy Championships year for our organization. A Few days ago we shared with you the end year summary from Championship perspective as this was fantastic year for international ultrarunning, with six ultra-distance championships covering all regions. Now we would like to share more about our organization that stands behind those developments and which works all the yearlong to deliver world class events. Our aim is and always was to support Athletes, Federations and organizations.
Continental Records
Continental Records Nadeem Khan, IAU President emphasize several times on having the opportunity to further develop ultra-running not only global but in the regions as well. The IAU Records Committee proposed new initiative to have continental records.
2018 IAU 24 Hours European Championship � post race report
2018 IAU 24 Hours European Championship – post race report. Patrycja Bereznowska (POL) and Andrzej Radzikowski (POL) won 2018 IAU 24 Hours European Championship in Timisoara, Romania on May 27th. Poland and France won the Team competition.
The Winner of the 2017 IAU Athlete of the Year
The Winner of the 2017 IAU Athlete of the Year. The Winners of the 2017 IAU Athlete of the Year have been announced. Patrycja Bereznowska (POL) and Yoshihiko Ishikawa (JPN) have been voted as the 2017 IAU Athlete of the Year. Both Winners received around 45% of all votes. Patrycja won convincingly. It was a bit closer in men votes but still very strong position of Yoshihiko. The runners up in women standing are Camille Herron (USA) and Adeline Roche (FRA) and in men Luis Alberto Hernando (ESP) and Sebastian Białobrzeski (POL).
AOY 2017 - first post
Athletes of the Year 2017. 2017 was a very exciting year for the sport of ultrarunning. Several championships, including the 1st IAU Americas 100 km Championship took place with many outstanding performances. We witnesses World Best Performances on 6H, 12H, 24H races.
