The Winner of the 2018 IAU Athlete of the Year. It is our pleasure to announce that after completion of the voting the 2018 Winners of the IAU Athlete of the Year are Camille Herron (USA) and Nao Kazami (JPN). 2018 was the year of the World Record holder and world best performances and they were recognized by ultrarunning family.
New 100 km World Record ratified by IAAF
New 100 km World Record ratified by IAAF. On September 14th, IAAF ratified the men 100 km World Record 6:09:14 achieved by Nao Kazami (JPN) in Kitami City on 24 June 2018. The previous record 6:13:33 was set by Takahiro Sunada (JPN) on June 21st, 1998 during the same race. The record sustained for 20 years.

Combined Trail and Mountain World Championship from 2021. Year 2021 will be a time with major change in the Trail and Mountain World Championship. It will be the inauguration of the IAAF World Trail and Mountain Running Championships, a result of a unique partnership between the IAAF, ITRA and WMRA. The IAU is playing important role in this partnership as well.

The International Association of Ultrarunners (IAU), the Croatian Athletics Federation (CAF) and the Local Organization Committee (LOC) represented by LifeClass Terme Sveti Martin and Mayor of Sveti Martin na Muri are proud to organize the 2018 IAU 100 km World Championship on September 8th in Sveti Martin na Muri, Croatia.
