Following on from our last communication on Continental Records we would like to take a step forward and share with you the outcome of the work done so far on this initiative. As communicated earlier the goal is to absolute the Continental Records for 24H, 50K and 100K ensuring that they are all up to date. We as an organization believe that this is a great opportunity to further develop ultra-running not only globally but also in the localized regions.

Ian Cornelius passed away It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ian Cornelius from Australia. On behalf of the IAU we would like to express our sincere condolences to Ian’s family, friends and all those who knew him. Ian was known to many in the Australian and International ultra running community. He had an incredible passion for the sport and was devoted to encouraging others to participate.
2019 IAU Trail World Championship � race report
2019 IAU Trail World Championship – race repor. On June 8th 2019 the IAU Trail World Championship took place in Mirandha do Corvo, Portugal. Athletes from 53 nations compete on beautiful but difficult 44.2 km trail course (2 120 m of elevation gain and 1 970 of elevation loss). Technical terrain as well as steep climbs and challenging descents, all this was waiting for runners.
