2021 IAU 50 km World Championship announcement.

We are very pleased to announce that the 2021 IAU 50 km World Championships was granted to Taipei, Taiwan. The Championships will take place on October 31st, 2021 and it will be organize by Chinese Taipei Association of Ultrarunners (CTAU).

IAU 24H World Championship – behind the scenes

The 2019 IAU 24H World Championship recently culminated with fantastic results and record breaking performance from athletes all over the world. The International Association of Ultrarunners (IAU) is operating under the patronage of the IAAF and is dedicated to develop ultradistance running internationally within the IAAF Rules & Regulations.

As international governing body for ultradistance running, one of our main objectives is to promote and develop long distance running worldwide by encouraging specific activities in each of the IAAF Continental Areas.

Competitions
The 100 km is our “flagship” since the IAAF officially sanctions this distance and also ratifies 100 km world records.
